Take photos and videos of your property (inside and out).​

Prep your property for a storm to lower the risk of damage (see below).

Know your evacuation and shelter options​.

If recommended to evacuate, do so immediately. ​

Update your pet’s microchip information and include their needs in all your planning.

Protect human life at all costs. ​

Don’t leave your home until the storm has passed. ​

Designate an interior location with no windows on the lowest level.​

Be aware that flooding can happen quickly. If you’re home, turn off all electricity at the main breaker. Watch for rising water and move to higher ground if water approaches.​

Use a National Weather Receiver or other emergency alert service to hear updates.​

After the storm has passed and it is safe to do so, assess possible damage.​

Perform your duties after a loss and prevent further damage from occurring to the best of your ability. ​

You will find claim phone numbers and/or online claims links for each listed company. Make sure to know who your policy is carried with & have your policy number handy!
