If you know of any suspected cases of insurance fraud, you should contact the SC Department of Insurance. The DOI website makes it very easy to report fraud – there is an online complaint form at https://doi.sc.gov/987/insurance-fraud-division.
If you have time to read it, the 2020 Insurance Fraud Report has some interesting information with actual cases of fraud described. Most remarkable is the fact that there were over 3,000 fraud cases reported in 2019 and over 2,500 in 2020! That is rather shocking!
