I was born and raised in Conway, SC, and moved to Charleston in the summer of 1989. I graduated from the College of Charleston in 1993 and stayed in the area after falling in love with the historic city. I met my wife, Elizabeth Silcox while attending the College of Charleston.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and pets, being in the mountains, boating, hunting, fishing, and playing golf. I am a member of Christ Our King Church, and I support the Charleston SPCA, the East Cooper Community Outreach, Meals on Wheels, and Goodwill.

After spending almost ten years in the construction industry, I made the transition into insurance in 2009. I am a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR). I love helping people to understand insurance, what they are purchasing, why they need it, and how it works.
